According to GSM Arena, the Android 7.0 Nougat is currently being introduced to LG G5 units in South Korea. It is also reported that other regions such as the Americas will come next in the weeks to come.
As per LG from its recent press release, the company said that they know their customers deserve the best and most up-to-date mobile experience so getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update in its LG G5 units is expected to happen.

As added by Tech Times, so far it is only the LG V20 that runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. LG has not confirmed the list of devices to receive the latest software update but it sure will happen in few weeks.
The LG G5 was launched earlier this year still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Rumors say that the LG G5 will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update in mid-November. The owners of other LG units such as LG V10 may have to wait until March 2017 to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
