Everyone has been left reeling after the big "A" reveal - with some fans and followers of "Pretty Little Liars" still expressing their shock over the connection between the tormentor, Charles DiLaurentis, and the tormented girls, Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Avery Bellisario), Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell). With the recent teaser trailers, however, it appears that not everyone is convinced on Charles' involvement in the sinister scheme that haunted the lives of the "Pretty Little Liars" stars since the day they supposedly buried Alison.
In "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 Episode 8, the girls will find themselves in even more trouble. Thanks to the mishap between Toby Cavanaugh (Keegan Allen) and a bunch of spiked gummy bears, the supposed arranged confrontation with the alleged mastermind behind the works of "A," Charles, went haywire and instead exposed the girls to more danger. Due to the botched plans, the entire Rosewood community now knows about "A" and how this evil villain has been making the lives of Emily, Hanna, Alison, Aria and Spencer miserable. With that in mind, a number of events in Episode 8 looks to be spiraling out control.
Based on one teaser clip, Hanna and her mom, Ashley Marin (Laura Leighton), are seen arguing over the scholarship money sent to the high school student. According to their conversation, Hanna suspects that the money came from "A," otherwise known as Charles. With past experiences in mind, the fashionable "Pretty Little Liars" star says that offering a scholarship is "A's" way of hurting her. Explaining her point of view to her mother, Hanna notes that the moment she accepts the cash and actually enrolls in her dream school, Charles will only yank her chain by threatening to her out of the scholarship or create a scandal that could get her expelled - that is, if the money actually came due to Charles' evil schemes and not because Hanna is truly qualified, as argued by Ashley.
Meanwhile, another teaser clip reveals that Aria finally catches a break in the art world. Having her photos chosen as one of the handful pieces of art to be featured in an exhibit, Aria's family should have been overwhelmed by the recognition. However, the public unveiling of the suffering dealt with by the "Pretty Little Liars" girls in the hands of "A" has made her mom, Ella Montgomery (Holly Marie Combs), worried and a bit paranoid over her safety. As a result, Aria will not be able to attend the exhibit, thereby tinging what was supposed to be an amazing accomplishment with dissatisfaction and resentment against Charles.
As for Alison, the teaser clip showed her starting to doubt the feasibility of Charles being "A." While she does not expressly say it, the questions linger in her mind and is sometimes reflected by how she reacts when Charles' name is mentioned. In addition, the former Rosewood High bully is frustrated over the distance set by her father between them - citing the possibility of him sort of blaming her for the entire fiasco.
Clearly, the ordeals brought about by "A" in the lives of the girls are far from over. Watch out for Episode 8, titled "FrAmed," on Tuesday (July 28) at ABC.
