Just recently, The CW network revealed that “The Originals” will have lesser episodes in the upcoming season. With this, fans of the “TVD” spin-off series speculate the show nearing its end.
The parent series “The Vampire Diaries” is currently airing its final season. Because of this, viewers of “The Originals” are thinking that the same will happen to the drama series. According to a report, “The Originals” Season 3 premiered late last Oct 2015 for the suspected reason that “The Vampire Diaries” canceled its eighth season.
TVLine reported that the CW drama series “The Originals” was not able to secure a spot on the network’s fall schedule. The CW network president Mark Pedowitz shared how the network has a strong schedule but he still believes in the series and his decision to hold “The Originals” until mid-season is just a booster.
In our previous report, the speculations about the end of “The Originals” have been going around for quite some time. Some reports say the drama series has been steadily dropping viewership.
Reports have it that instead of dropping the show, The CW network came into an agreement with Netflix to salvage “The Originals”. Both agreed that all episodes of “The Originals” from The CW network can be viewed in Netflix eight days after each season finale.
“The Originals” fans are still hoping for a crossover noting CW president Pedowitz’s statement. Klaroline aficionados have been waiting for the confirmation of their reuniting but no decision has been made final by the movie executives just yet.
If the network cancels after the upcoming season of “The Originals”, word goes around that the ABC network will pick it up for season 5. No official statement from the series producers and network executives were released.
Tune in for more updates about the drama series! “The Originals” Season 4 premieres in 2017 on The CW network.
