A mother who went jogging days ago failed to return home and pick up her kids from day care. Her husband believes that she was abducted but police still have no clues or leads leading to the woman's whereabouts despite her earbuds and strands of her hair found on the trail where she usually ran.
The Northern California mother was identified as Sherri Papini. Officials noted that they will be studying surveillance videos to try and search for clues but pointed out that they still have not made significant developments on the case of the missing mother.
International Business Times reported that the 34-year-old mother was last seen jogging on a street by herself. She was wearing a pink jacket. The last text that she sent to her husband was at around 10 A.M. on Wednesday when she asked him if she will be coming home for lunch.
Papini was described as a white female, 5 feet and 4 inches tall, and is around 100 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
The sister of Papini, Sheila Koester, said in a statement that they believed they have exhausted their resources to look for her in the area. They also believed that Papini has been moved to somewhere else away from the area so they are trying to reach out to national news and social media networks in order for people from across the nation to try and look for the missing woman.
A GoFundMe page was set up for Papini as the money will be used in the search efforts. The page was set up over the weekend and it has since raised $30,000.
Los Angeles Times also reported that the area where Papini's cellphone was discovered last week was also the place where the strands of her hair and her earbuds were found. Papini's husband, Keith, located the phone via the Find My iPhone app.
Around 150 tips have reportedly been given to officials but no official lead has led to the whereabouts of the California mother. A $50,000 reward is being offered to anyone who could give information about the woman's location. Meanwhile, four registered sex offenders in the area are being investigated.
