Nature And Children: A Match Made In Heaven

There are some experiences in life that cannot be explained. The smell of rain, the sensation of warm sunlight grazing upon skin in winters, bright colored flowers and listening to the sounds of birds in quiet afternoons. It is every parent's responsibility to expose their kids to nature right from the childhood. Studies have shown that children become more creative and playful with imagination when exposed to nature more often.

Through outdoor activities, children learn to make use of things that may apparently have no specific use. They become more alert in natural surroundings and observe more carefully.

First, parents can plan a picnic party at a local garden or even in backyard. Start small, so children can become accustomed to natural environment. Taking a stroll in the street after dinner with kids can also be a way to expose children to the great outdoors, instead of hiking a mountain. Set up a tent at your own house's backyard and give children a camping experience, sure they would love it.

Children learn something best when they observe it, so show them how to respect Mother Nature. Tell them about the importance of plants and oceans, sand and soil, rain and sunshine. It will help open their minds in a way that cannot be explained.
