The writer and creator of "Black Mirror" has been lately trying out a new hobby. Charlie Brooker has been into playing PS VR and he is getting addicted to it. In fact, the second episode of "Black Mirror" Season 3 titled "Playtest" is inspired from his new hobby.
"Black Mirror" is a British television anthology focuses on the consequences of technology in the modern day. Created by Charlie Brooker himself, he wanted to see how he can relate to the second episode of the new season of the British anthology by playing PS VR.
He thinks he likes it knowing that the second episode of season 3 in "Black Mirror" focuses on a playtest that deals with VR gone horribly haywire. Cooper (Wyatt Russel) the main character who hope to get a ticket back home found a quick job by testing a video game that manifests a person's darkest fears. Apparently, it did not turn out a happy ending to Cooper. This situation is believed to be what added to Charlie Brooker's emotion to his gameplay of the PS VR.
Charlie Brooker comments on twitter posted on GamesRadar that playing PS VR is all mental and that he described it as like dreaming the game, a statement that expresses he is having fun in playing the game. Charlie Brooker described that he has to take off his PS VR as he reaches to the point when he is about to freak out while playing Batman on his PS VR. An indication of how he tries to relate himself to his creation "Black Mirror".
Charlie Brooker commented on twitter that his PS VR cost him nothing since it was only sent to him. Yet the creator really enjoyed playing different video games using his PS VR. He said that it is not perfect because it can be blurry and clunky. His best advice is to try it first before you buy anything.
