Shopping Gets Easier For Men In China, At Least! A Mall Now Offers Them A “Husband Nursery” While Their Significant Others Shop

Shopping is such a taxing event most especially during sale season. Women mainly do the shopping but most of the times, they coerce their significant others to accompany them. These companions, most likely their husbands, boyfriends, brothers, uncles or of the male persuasion, suffer from being the designated porter or suffer from boredom and tiredness from all the walking and indecision in buying. Now, a mall in China constructed a room called "husband nursery".

In Qibao, Minhang District of Shanghai in China, Vanke Mall has heard the cries of agony, boredom, and tiredness of husbands and/or boyfriends as they walk around and most likely lugging with them shopping bags with their wives and/or girlfriends. The Chinese mall has recently unveiled a "husband nursery" where the women can deposit their significant others along with the requisite shopping bags and a child or two to chill and relax while the women continue to do more shopping.

The so-called "husband nursery" offers a massage chair, a slew of comfortable lounge chairs, a fully-stocked fridge, a television, newspapers and magazines in a fully air-conditioned room. News of Vanke Mall's "husband nursery" first spread in Weibo, China's Twitter, where it received mixed reactions from their users.

A male Weibo user has said he'd go shopping just so he can experience what the "husband nursery" is like. A female Weibo user even asks if there was a "wife nursery" for someone like her who does not enjoy shopping. Another Weibo user says that the "husband nursery" defeats the purpose of shopping as a way of spending time with each other and/or with your family.

A room dedicated solely as a lounge/rest area for men to stay in while their significant others shop is a bit sexist, don't you think? It would be more practical if there were a common space where anyone can relax and enjoy the mall. Men might get bored and tired from shopping with their wives or girlfriends but don't you think the women don't get tired from shopping too? Besides, wouldn't it be more economical if you'd just decline to go shopping and just enjoy your stay at home?

What do you think? Would you like to have a mall near you with a "husband nursery" too? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
