‘The Voice’ Season 11 News & Updates: Records Highest Rating With ‘Gotham’ And ‘Kevin Can Wait’, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Poses Threat

Ratings are off to a good start for new show "Gotham" and regulars "Kevin Can Wait" and "The Voice". Monday night reveals increasing ratings of the rising shows. However "The Big Bang Theory" might be affecting this ratings.

TV By The Numbers accounts how well new shows fared in terms of ratings from last week. CBS "Kevin Can Wait" earned 1.7 share from adult audience ages 18-49 while Fox's "Gotham" registered 1.2. NBC's "The Voice" tops the scales at 2.3.

In terms of viewers, "The Voice" leads at 9.92 million while Kevin Can Wait" and "Gotham" registered 7.32 million and 3.5 million respectively. On top of NBC's "SNL Election Special" ratings of 2.1, "The Voice" commendable performance gave NBC its lead in the statistics.

Deadline reminds viewers that the ratings still needs adjustments. Buffalo, a known affiliate of ABC, showed the telecast of Monday Night Football". The sudden sky-rocket of viewers, mostly football fans, have most likely distorted the ratings.

"Kevin Can Wait" of CBS has taken the timeslot of "Life In Pieces". The new CBS show is under much pressure since its predecessor "Life In Pieces" set records as the only CBS drama that was stretched to two seasons following very competitive ratings.

Meanwhile, Fox's new show "Gotham" did well for starters. "Gotham" increase excitement among viewers as the show progress. "Gotham" is a story about the beginnings of detective James Gordon played by actor Ben McKenzie. The show is now on its Season3 where the protagonist takes a turn heading to the opposite way.

"Gotham" continue to perform well in terms of ratings. This is a good indication that the show could be renewed for several more seasons. Meanwhile, NBC's "The Voice" have been consistently bagging great viewer feedbacks. The latest guest appearance of superstar Rihanna has pulled ratings higher.
