'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 4 News: Ghost Rider Netflix Spinoff? Johnny Blaze the ‘Good Samaritan’; Nicolas Cage Appearing? Episode 6 Recap, Spoilers

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 News has got fans spinning. Not only has the back story of Robby Reyes been revealed, but also another Ghost Rider exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "the Good Samaritan." Speculation has it that Nicolas Cage might be the motorcycle-riding Ghost Rider and might actually show up in the series.

Is Ghost Rider getting his own spinoff?

Fans of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." know that the main attraction for Season 4 is the modern/supernatural Rider sporting a 1969 Dodge Charger. Gabriel Luna who plays Robby Reyes spoke with ComicBook regarding a possible spinoff. According to the actor, there is a very real possibility that there may be a Ghost Rider spinoff movie or TV series, as fans have been demanding.

In fact, Netflix may be potentially looking for a future TV series with Ghost Rider, Blade, and The Punisher, owing to the success of "Daredevil," per Cinemablend. Umberto Gonzalez, Heroic Hero's superhero-friendly founder, said that Marvel is porting their MCU ideas to the small screen, queue in Netflix Series Phase II. Heroic Hollywood even tweeted:

“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans will have to wait for confirmation as to whether Ghost Rider will in fact get his own spinoff. Perhaps a TV show spinoff could turn Ghost Rider’s feature career into a more household name since its not-so-successful debut with actor Nicolas Cage, beneath the flaming skull.

Is Nicolas Cage appearing as Johnny Blaze on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4?

Now that, as of the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Episode 6, we finally know where Robby Reyes got his powers, by selling his "soul to the devil." To be more precise, the previous Ghost Rider transferred the curse to Robby to save him from death. But who is this Rider?

It's not 100% certain that the "Good Samaritan" was in fact Johnny Blaze, who was played by Nicholas Cage in two film adaptations, according to Screenrant. But Johnny Blaze perfectly fits the criteria pointing out the Rider's skull has an extremely prominent bullet hole above his left eye, and of course the sweet motorbike.

In Nicolas Cage's "Spirit of Vengeance," Blaze had a wound mark in a similar place, but the only difference is the Rider's is definitely from a bullet. There might be another back story there, though knowing "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," there always is. No word yet from Nicolas Cage if he will return as the character, but he says yes to everything.

Right now, one fact remains in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Robbie Reyes is not the only Rider stalking the MCU. This only means that the character is being tested out for a series of his own.

Let us know your thoughts on the probable Johnny Blaze appearance on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 4 returns on November 29, Tuesday, at 10pm on ABC.
