Maggie Doyne, the hailed CNN'S 2015 "Hero of the Year" who made a great contribution to the life of Nepalese women and children will be featured in the next part of the Parent Wellness series- which extends programs centered on the needs of the community and of the students to families.
The young hero started a nonprofit organization in 2007 that has provided a home for more than 50 Nepalese children and a school for over 350 students with only her life savings of $5,000 and is now providing funds and overseeing the management of the Kopila Valley School, Children's Home, Women's Center, Health Clinic, and New Campus in Surkhet, Nepal.
When she received the award for being CNN'S "Hero of the Year" Doyne reminded the people that everybody could bring forth a world one wants to live.
The tagline from BlinkNow website: "In the blink of an eye, we can all make a difference." speaks for the belief of such an admirable woman.
According to an article on Tapinto about the event, the Parent Wellness series began in 2015 with the joint effort of Millburn, Berkeley Heights, Chatham, New Providence Public Schools and Superintendents and Student Assistance Counselors of the Summit and marked its beginning this year with a session about social media and the trends in it, the effects it has to teens and the ways parents can take to protect and help their child in balancing their life which was held at the Summit High School.
As part of the said series, each district is to host an awareness forum and invite all the affected communities to attend at their respective high schools.
At 7 p.m. the young millennial hero will be featured on a forum at Chatham High School on November 30 wherein middle and high school students are welcome together with their parents.
The young hero continues to be an inspiration and a great example to everyone as she walks the talk.
