Apple Releases 'iBooks StoryTime'! TvOS App Read Books Aloud

Apple discreetly released its new iBooks StoryTime app last Thursday, Nov. 10. The iBooks StoryTime app is the first-party tvOS app bringing children's books to your (Smart) television sets.

What makes the iBooks StoryTime app better? Aside from the exemplary graphics and animation, it has a Read-Aloud narration feature plus it is compatible with Siri Remote.

The first party app, iBooks StoryTime, was introduced silently on the tvOS App Store. The tvOS application is designed to help children develop and improve their reading comprehension skills. The iBooks StoryTime app allows children to have an interactive experience with audio and visual cues.

The iBooks StoryTime app is combined with the fourth-generation Apple TV hardware. According to reports, the iBooks StoryTime app is best described as the karaoke for children except that they're books. The customized narration audio is synced to a moving text prompter.

When the Read-Aloud narration feature is on, the app automatically flips the pages of the book as the reader progresses. When the feature is off, the users of the iBooks StoryTime app can flips pages at their own pace with the Siri Remote.

According to reports, Apple TV owners can download the iBooks StoryTime for free in the tvOS App Store. Apple includes the free book "Dora's Big Buddy Race Read-Along Storybook" upon downloading the iBooks StoryTime app.

The tvOS app, iBooks StoryTime, is limited to a batch of handpicked books by Apple's editors. These iBooks can be purchased directly from the iBooks app interface and even from iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Moreover, these purchased iBooks can be automatically synced in the iBooks StoryTime library.
