New ABC Series Coming, 'Job or No Job' Helps Young Adults Land Their First Job

Another reality show is on its way, and, this time, it will make young professionals and graduating students aware of the battle they need to face once they step out into the big world.

ABC Family's new original reality show, "Job or No Job," features one job seeker per episode as the young hopeful ventures to land the perfect job he wants, OK! Magazine reports. Every episode will show the job seeker going through three interviews, and viewers will find out at the end of the show if the applicant receives job offers.

To guide and help the aspiring individuals get the position they wish, they will be joined by career and lifestyle expert, Jane Buckingham (a.ka. The "Fairy" Jobmother or JOB Genius!). According to BroadWayWorld, she will help the applicants in their journey, giving them advice to be more professional and calm during job interviews and learn from their mistakes. She will also provide tips to the best dining places, housing and ways to get around town.

The career guru will also help the hopefuls understand the realities of the job market, and, perhaps, give them ideas on the usual setbacks one can anticipate during job hunting.

With Buckingham as their Jobmother, the job seekers are surely in good hands. According to OK! Magazine, Buckingham is the founder and CEO of Trendera. She is also the best-selling author of the book, "The Modern Girl's Guide to Life," containing stylish, practical and smart tips for the busy modern women.

To have a glimpse of the upcoming episodes of "Job or No Job," their episode for August 12 will feature Lauren Afflerbaugh, an aspiring fashion designer. Lauren has just graduated and decided to leave her family and friends in Austin to find an opportunity in Los Angeles, where she is bound to be interviewed by three successful companies in her craft, according to BroadWayWorld.

Lauren faced Alle Fister, Principal ad Owner of Bollare Communications for her first interview. She then went on another interview with Bryan Stark, President and CEO of Brand Equity Showroom. Her last interview was with Nilou Ghodsi, owner of Heist.

The journey was a tough one for Lauren. She was so nervous in her first interview, caught lying on her resume on her second interview and her choices were critiqued on her third interview. Buckingham advised Lauren to control her nervousness and just be herself.

Will Lauren get a job offer? We will find out. "Job or No Job" will premiere on Wednesday, August 5, at 9:00 pm ET/PT on ABC Family.
