It seems the Chicago Bulls are making as many changes as possible to spur their return to the NBA playoffs. There is a new NBA trade rumor that the Chicago Bulls, who are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference with five W's versus four losses possibly striking a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
According to a report published in Ecumenical News, the Chicago Bulls could swap Jimmy Butler and Jerian Grant for the Minnesota Timberwolves Andrew Wiggins and Zach Lavine.
Both teams are expected to perform well after making some big acquisitions during the offseason. The Chicago Bulls added Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo on their roster after the duo signed on the team as free agents.
The Minnesota Timberwolves, on the other hand, signed rookie sensation Kris Dunn as their 5th overall pick during the last NBA Draft Season. They also brought in the services of reputable coach Tom Thibodeau to mentor the young team, much like what he did to the Bulls for 5 seasons. They are currently thirteenth in the Western Conference with just two wins and five losses.
Since both Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves are still looking to improve their rosters, a possible trade is likely and this could materialize before the trading deadline. This exchange is believed to solve some problems that are holding the two teams back according to a report.
Many are not convinced the trade between Chicago Bulls Jimmy Butler and Jerian Grant and Minnesota Timberwolves Andrew Wiggins and Zach Lavine will push through. They feel that Minnesota will be getting the shorter end of the stick when they let go of two youngsters with great potential just to acquire Butler and his explosive scoring abilities.
The Chicago Bulls on the other hand will get the better part of the bargain as this is something they can build the team's future on. Still some feel that Jimmy Butler combined with the talented Karl-Anthony Towns would give the Minnesota Timberwolves a much-needed push they require at the moment.
Despite this being a tempting offer between two teams, coach Tom Thibodeau is not fond of sending young players to the field and his familiarity with Butler from his time with the Bulls before taking charge of the Timberwolves this year make the rumor look all the more likely to occur.
