iPhone 7 with its release made a lot of users, especially the iPhone fanatics on their toes to be the first to have the latest edition of iPhone. Many were excited that iPhone 7 will come with features completely different and level up compared to its predecessor, but unfortunately, it fell short meeting such expectations.
According to Tech 2, iPhone 7 has features such as a high-resolution camera and the option of jet-black glossy finish but obviously lacks the traditional analog headphone jack. The removal of the said jack left a lot of users in utter disappointment.
Apple releases a "refreshed" version of iPhone each year but goes for the major upgrade and notable and revolutionary changes every two years. However, with the release of iPhone 7, many suspect that the two-year cycle of Apple will then be turned to a three-year cycle, with a lot of changes and improvements for iPhone 8.
iPhone 8 also is the anniversary edition of iPhone making it way better than all other phones released. With this, many iPhone 7 buyers regret their purchase as they could've just waited for the release of iPhone 8 sometimes Summer- Fall of 2017.
It is also believed that the only reason many decide to still buy iPhone 7 is the new design and glossy jet black edition. This edition is only available with 128GB and 256GB storage.
As added by The Week, the poor battery life is also considered one of the low points of iPhone 7. iPhone 7's battery life is worse compared to iPhone 6S when new. Using the device for apps, browsing, email and photos only lasted for 14 hours between charges. It also charges rather slowly.
Even more baffling is that iPhone 7 comes with a bigger battery compared to iPhone 6S and promises extra two hours of battery life. However, in spite of the bigger battery, iPhone 7 doesn't fair well in terms of charging and battery performance altogether.
The iPhone 7 is considered incomplete and feels more like a prototype. For those who have already bought the device, then make the most out of it. There are still many who are thinking of purchasing iPhone 7 as upgrade especially that Holidays are around the corner. The suggestion is to wait for iPhone 8.
