Is "Frozen 2" coming to the big screens on 2018? New reports seem to suggest that the highly anticipated Disney sequel already has a confirmed release date, but Disney has yet to release an official statement about the latest reports.
Health Aim recently claimed that "Frozen 2" will be released on 2018, but has failed to cite an official confirmation from Disney. While it is not impossible to have a "Frozen 2" release date two years from now, fans are advised not to take recent reports as 100% sure.
Previous reports have already claimed that "Frozen 2" will see the return of the original movie's lead characters. Kristen Bell and Josh Gad are reportedly confirmed to reprise their roles as Anna and Olaf, respectively, but Idina Menzel's return has been met with uncertainty and controversy as speculations surfaced that she could be replaced for the role of Elsa.
GameNGuide reported that there could be bad blood between Idina Menzel and the rest of the cast of "Frozen 2." The outlet claimed that the actress' upcoming wedding has been causing unnecessary delays in filming which consequently irked Bell and Gad. The outlet also stressed that because of the special treatment received by Menzel, the two other lead actors have threatened to quit the sequel.
While nothing has been confirmed, rumors are rife that replacements have already been considered for Menzel in "Frozen 2." Some of the execs' choices to play Elsa include "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens and "Shake It Off" singer Taylor Swift.
Other reports also speculated that apart from Queen Elsa finding her one true love in "Frozen 2," Olaf could also have a love interest of his own. It was previously reported that having a snow woman to partner Olaf with could be a good marketing move as it could help boost the movie's projected sales through the merchandise that will be produced for the franchise.
