In "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 8, Lucifer Morningstar's problems never seem to end. In this episode, aptly titled "Trip to Stabby Town," Chloe is on the trail of a serial killer, who happens to be using a long dagger - the same blade that Lucifer used to kill his brother Uriel several episodes back.
One of the lucky clues to a fatal stabbing is a selfie with the ongoing stabbing in the background. When Lucifer sees the dagger in the picture off he goes to find out how Azrael's blade is freely roaming the world of humans.
Seeing that Uriel's grave has been dug up, Lucifer decides he needs the scientific help of Ella. Ella agrees to the favor but with a quid pro quo of her own. One of the clues that Ella was able to literally piece together leads back to the law firm where Lucifer's mother works. It turns out that this was her idea of sending a signal to Heaven. Really smart move, reports say, as it asks the question, of how much humans are loved by celestial beings? Unfortunately, even after several murders, Heaven does not answer.
In "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 8, Lucifer's concern is the instrument of death as a celestial object does not have a place on earth. Azrael's blade summons humans to pick it up and kill for no other reason than because it was made to kill, a TV Fanatic article revealed.
The trail of the dagger leads to a yoga center, which later becomes the site of another blood bath. The last victim was the head of the yoga center, who was stabbed by one of the yoga instructors. In "Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 8, Lucifer was the first on the scene and explained to Chloe and other responding police officers that it was done in self-defense. By the time the explanation was over, the sword was again missing. Lucifer tried to search for the weapon within the premises only to see Detective Dan holding it. Lucifer tries and succeeds to get the weapon from Dan, but not before some scary death threats over pudding.
"Lucifer" Season 2 Episode 8 ended with a confrontation between Lucifer and his Mom. His Mother explains living with humans is not their proper place and that they should go back home, to Heaven. At which, Lucifer exclaims: "This is my home."
