A new promo was released for the upcoming "The Flash," Arrow," Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" crossover on The CW. The DC superheroes will fight an alien race called the Dominators, which were highlighted in the new sneak peek.
The new promo for "The Flash," Arrow," Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" crossover opens with Barry (Grant Gustin) investigating a space ship that crashed in Central City. He becomes horrified when he saw that the ship carries sinister aliens. Watch the sneak peek below.
Barry likened the Dominators to the zombies in the 2013 action horror film "World War Z" starring Brad Pitt. To defeat the Dominators, who are interested in the Earth's meta-humans, The Flash enlists the help of his fellow superheroes: Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Firestorm (Robbie Amell), and The Atom (Brandon Routh), among others.
The Dominators featured in "The Flash," Arrow," Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" crossover promo resemble their comic book counterparts, though International Business Times pointed out that the aliens' red circles on their foreheads are less noticeable in the TV iteration. Check out the Dominators' comic book appearance below.
In the comics, the Dominators view meta-humans as a threat to the universe so they want to bring them down. "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Superhero Insider in October that the Dominators' plan in "The Flash," Arrow," Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" crossover is "very, very faithful to the comics."
Also featured in the promo for "The Flash," Arrow," Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" crossover is the return of Deathstroke (Manu Bennett). Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes), meanwhile, are providing tech support for the "Legends of Tomorrow" heroes, according to TVLine.
Mind-control will also come into play on "The Flash," "Arrow," "Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" crossover. The Dominators have mind-control abilities and according to Entertainment Weekly writer Jeff Jensen, this aspect opens up the possibility of the superheroes fighting each other against their will.
"The Flash," "Arrow," "Supergirl," and "Legends of Tomorrow" crossover event will run for four nights, beginning on the Nov. 28 episode of "Supergirl." What do you think of The CW's superhero crossover event? Share your thoughts below.
