"The Vampire Diaries" may no longer have a Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder on the final season of the series, but speculations emerged that the TVD duo will be making another history. Speculations emerged that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will be making a comeback as an on-screen tandem for the upcoming "Twilight" related film.
Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are reportedly making a comeback for the upcoming film which Peter Wachsberger, co-chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group described as a "Twilight" related film. CelebDirty Laundry reports that the duo will be replacing Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as they will no longer reprise their former roles.
After Wachsberger's announcement, fans can't help but ask if Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson would be willing to reprise their roles. While Pattinson may still be up for it, Kristen Stewart on the other hand, explained that she is no longer interested to star in the upcoming film project.
"I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation," Kristen Stewart stated during her interview. "Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It's hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn't mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I'd be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn't emotionally affect me one way or the other."
Hollywood Life then added that Robert Pattinson however, is still interested in the project as it can potentially spark up his career. According to sources, Pattinson may not push through with the project if he won't be working with Kristen Stewart, which led to speculations that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will be replacing the duo due to their availability after TVD's final season.
