‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Episode 5 Spoilers: Stefan Kills Damon? Katherine’s Role In The Final Season Revealed

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 Episode 5 wis packed with revelations. Entitled “Coming Home was A Mistake,” TVD fans will be expecting answers whether or not Stefan (Paul Wesley) will kill the devil for Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Also, Katherine’s role will finally be revealed.

As E! News recaps, last week's “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 Episode 4 revealed the siren’s beginning and the story of hell. Now that Sibyl's (Nathalie Kelley) resounding question was left unanswered in the previous episode, will fans learn Stefan’s answer?

It’s clear the Stefan knows Damon can create more damage if he doesn't put him down. Damon almost killed Matt’s father and killed Tyler (Michael Trevino), too, TV.com reveals.

So, what do fans know based on the newest promo for TVD Season 8 Episode 5? Here's what we know.

It is clear that Damon will still be on a killing spree on the upcoming TVD episode. He tells Stefan that they should pick their graves as early as now.

At the end of the TVD teaser, Stefan is seen holding a revolver. The gun is pointed towards Damon. However, fans think Stefan is more than this. He will surely find a way to save Damon, even if it means getting to hell and killing the devil. But what if it’s too late for Stefan? Will he losing his brother forever and forever carry the burden of his faults?

Also, a glimpse of hell might mean that "The Vampire Diaries" fans will see Katherine (Nina Dobrev). If she’s really in hell, then it's a possibility that the actress will reprise her role for the final season. But what will her role be?

Katherine may help Damon from the situation. There’s still no clear answer as to how, but her return eventually marks hope for both Stefan and Damon in TVD.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 Episode 5 will air on Friday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. on CW.
