HP EliteBook Folio G1 is one laptop definitely enough to make its competition scared. It is slim but has enough power to get most jobs done. The HP EliteBook Folio G1 can even give MacBook a run for its money.
According to Laptop Mag, the HP EliteBook Folio G1 is slimmer than the 12-inch MacBook but it is a considered a productivity powerhouse. It has a 12.5-inch screen and a durable design that can even survive drops to a certain height. The HP EliteBook Folio G1 also boasts about having an impressive keyboard.
The HP EliteBook Folio G1 also has strong speakers making listening to music even without speakers a breeze. It can be comfortably heard in an open space, in close proximity producing audible, loud and clear audio.
The HP EliteBook Folio G1 also makes use of an infrared camera for face logins making the device intensely secure. This has not been done by its arch rival, the MacBook. It also has fan-less cooling making the laptop extremely quiet.
The HP EliteBook Folio G1 is very thin and classy and looks more like a MacBook. The chrome HP logo and silver hinge is what makes it apart from the MacBook. It has a shiny bezel on the sides but still has room fro a webcam.
The HP EliteBook Folio G1 measures 11.5 x 8.23 x 0.47-inches, it is thinner, taller and wider compared to the MacBook. Other competitions didn't fare well in terms of slimness. Dell Latitude 13 7370 measures 12 x 8.3 x 0.56-inches while the other competition Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 13.11 x 9.02 x 0.56-inches.
The HP EliteBook Folio G1 only weighs 2.14 pounds is a little bit heavier than the MacBook's 2.04 pounds. This is not noticeable though as it is heavier by few grams. It is very hard to tell when casually carrying the laptop.
As added by CNET, the HP EliteBook Folio G1 comes with Windows 10 Home for its Operating System. An impressive storage is also part of the package with 512GB SSD and graphics with 128MB Intel HD Graphics 515.
The only known downside of HP EliteBook Folio G1 is its battery performance. This laptop can not compete with Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga which promises a full-day battery performance. Though there are better laptops in terms of battery life, the HP EliteBook Folio G1 still delivers and makes the work done.
