'NCIS' Season 14 Updates: Mark Harmon Leaving, Michael Weatherly Returning?

The "NCIS" Season 14 ratings have significantly dropped compared to the series' previous seasons. Nonetheless, CBS made a decision to renew the series for Season 14s and 15 in the midst of rumors circulating that Mark Harmon will be leaving the show. It leads to speculations that Michael Wetherly's return on "NCIS" is possible.

According to TV Series Finale, the ratings for "NCIS" Season 14 dropped 13.35 percent lower from its previous seasons. This can be attributed to the departure of Weatherly from the series. Weatherly played the character of Senior Agent Tony DiNozzo and left after "NCIS" Season 13.

Weatherly is reportedly working on a separate series on CBS entitled "Bull," but an article by Headlines and Global News stated that the actor will be returning to "NCIS" Season 14. The report suggests that Weatherly will return to play DiNozzo to regain high ratings for "NCIS." However, many doubt that reacquiring Weatherly will help in trying to raise the ratings for "NCIS."

Meanwhile, there are also rumors that put forward a possible departure for Harmon, who plays Leroy Gibbs from "NCIS." Some believe that the low ratings have allegedly discouraged Harmon, while others believe that Harmon is also working on another series aside from "NCIS."

However, a report by TMZ alleges that Harmon will be leaving "NCIS" because his dog named Dave once bit a crew member. It is stated that the crew member was hospitalized and got 16 stitches.

Nonetheless, the speculations regarding both Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly in connection to "NCIS" have not been confirmed by the studio. Harmon has been nominated for several awards for his role in the series.
