The HP Spectre x360 is still reported to be the best all around laptop available in the market today. HP Spectre x360's unparalleled performance and its simple façade promises to get the work done with ease and convenience. It may even be enough to make Apple loyalists get this laptop instead.
According to Ars Technica, the HP Spectre x360 is considerably slimmer than the previously released Spectre model. HP took away 19mm of its width, 2.1mm of its height and it is 0.35pounds lighter. In spite of it being lighter and smaller, the battery is slightly bigger than the predecessor. The battery also has a fast charge feature, hitting 90 percent in 90 minutes.
To achieve the smaller and slimmer HP Spectre x360, the bezel has been slimmed right down. It still is larger compared to Dell XPS 13 but is significantly narrower than the old versions by 15.1mm.
The keyboard of HP Spectre x360 has been made a little wider with an extra number of keys down the right-hand side of the laptop. It gives direct access to home, end, page up, page down without the unnecessary Fn-key combinations. It is also considered solid. The travel has slightly decreased compared to the previous.
The HP Spectre x360 has a larger battery and newer processor so it boasts with significant improvement in battery life. It may have gotten a score but not as impressive as the competition. This is mostly the case for small laptops packed with power and additional features especially the display. Most of the power are being used up to produce the best visuals and graphics.
As added by Tech Radar, the HP Spectre x360 also comes with four speakers from the top to the bottom of the base of the laptop. However, only two tweeters activate at a time. It sounds better when forward facing than the usual bottom or side firing tweeters found in other notebooks.
The HP Spectre x360 also renders deep colors and a distinct level of contrast because of its 15-inch screen, but not too bright. Even in a well-lit area, a user may want to increase the brightness still.
The HP Spectre x360 definitely has its own quirks and pitfalls, however, this is the same for all other laptops. It is true that no laptop is made perfect. In spite of its flaws in some aspects, the HP Spectre x360 still is considered a laptop worthy to be bought and used.
