The new season of the anticipated reality dating show, "Bachelor in Paradise," promises more fun, excitement and controversies. There are several speculations about lots of making out, sex on the beach and a pregnancy scare.
One girl among the ladies in paradise rocked the news with rumors that she might be pregnant. According to Hollywood Life, Ashley Iaconetti was very vocal of being a virgin; she even talked about it at the premiere of "Bachelor of Paradise." However, the promo showed Ashley going to Chris Harrison talking about a fantasy suite date, which surprised the viewers.
"I would like a date, which would lead to a fantasy suite," she told Chris. However, Ashley was also caught complimenting Jared, saying, "Jared's definitely hot enough to be my first."
The preview was cut and continued with her in tears with another girl asking her, "Wait a minute, you're not a virgin and you could be pregnant?"
However, many believed that the promo was only intended to keep the audience on the show, but it had no basis. CarterMatt stressed that Ashley did not say anything about it in the promo, which just meant nothing. "This is not 'Jane the Virgin,' people! It's not happening. These sort of things often tend to come up for the most part in these promos. Don't take it too seriously," the article said.
A report from BUSTLE suggested that the preview was misleading and that Ashley could be a victim of a false promo edit again. It could be a joke taken out of context, as what happened to her heart-to-heart and make-out session with Chris, which was edited to appear as if the two were engaged in a wild sex tent.
In another report from BUSTLE, the last season of "The Bachelor" teased the same issue by showing a blurred pregnancy test. The teaser suggested an emotional season full of tears, conflicts, jealousy and a pregnancy test. Unfortunately, as the show proceeded, not one episode revealed the blurred pregnancy test. Did the production forget it?
This made audience skeptical about teasers involving pregnancy. "Bachelor promos aren't always the most reliable form of information. This pregnancy test could be a whole host of things that aren't as scandalous as it sounds," BUSTLE stressed.
The pregnancy rumors in the paradise might end up in the same thing as their teaser with the blurred pregnancy test. If it is something that will be forgotten as the show runs or if it progresses, one will only know in the next episode of "Bachelor in Paradise," which will air on Sunday.
