On Wednesday, CW released midseason premiere schedule for 2017, and it looked different from the fall line-up. The new CW schedule for its midseason plan includes key moves of new and returning shows.
Aside from the premiere date of "Riverdale," DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" will be moving into the spot of "No Tomorrow" on Tuesday January 24 at 9 p.m. after its season finale, which means it would play right after "The Flash" that brings the best ratings to the network, surely it is expected to help boost the ratings for "Legends of Tomorrow". While "The 100" goes back to Wednesday starting February 1 at 9 p.m. after "Frequency" ends its first season.
As expected from the new CW midseason schedule, the freshman drama series "No Tomorrow" and "Frequency" will not be getting additional episode orders for this season. After having little success in ratings, even with strong lead-ins, the new CW midseason schedule is quite full. But the network have not made a decision yet and is still open to future plans.
In the new CW midseason premiere schedule, "Archie" comic inspired drama "Riverdale" is set to debut on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 9 p.m., Moving "Supernatural" to 8 p.m. While "Reign" will return for its fourth season on February 10 at 9 p.m. Friday slot after "The Vampire Diaries". Don't forget to watch "The Vampire Diaries" on March 10, as it will be the much- anticipated series finale.
A week after, "The Originals" will return to the network and will take over the post "The Vampire Diaries" time slot on March 17 at 8 p.m. "iZombie" will also be having its debut with a two-hour premiere on April 4 at 8 p.m. before adjusting to its regular time on Tuesday, 9 p.m. right after the new episodes of "The Flash". "Supergirl" will stay on the same spot on Mondays at 8 p.m. and "Jane The Virgin" at 9 p.m. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Crazy Ex Girlfriend" also ends its sophomore season on February 3.
