Golden State Warriors News & Updates: Coach Steve Kerr Fined $25K For Ripping The Referee On San Francisco Sports Talk Radio

Everyone has every right to say whatever they feel like to, but it should not be as much as Steve Kerr did. Golden State Warriors Coach Steve Kerr had publicly criticized and ripped off league referees for uncalled traveling violations on the San Francisco Sports Talk Radio. NBA committee was unhappy with the comments and smashed Warriors Coach with $25,000 fine on Sunday.

Yahoo Sports News reported that the comments were made last Thursday when Golden State Warriors Coach Steve Kerr went on San Francisco Sports Talk Radio KNBR 680 after the Warriors played against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday at Air Canada Centre. The hosts on the radio were discussing how traveling has regularly gone unpunished in recent years. Warriors coach Steve Kerr had used that opportunity to call out a missed travel call on Raptors Star DeMar DeRozan.

According to RealGM, the Golden State Warriors Coach statement was: "How was it possible that everybody on the planet can see those traveling violations except for the three referees that were paid to do the job? I don't get it was a total bizarre. Traveling was a point of emphasis on one particular play and it was where the officials were taught to see."

Golden State Warriors Coach Steve Kerr also said that the referees were being asked to watch so many things in the game. This includes lane violations, bumping fouls, charging, and defenders positioning for blocking fouls. These violations were sometimes obvious and basic miss calls that can easily be seen by spectators.

Golden State Warriors Steve Kerr's comments might link to his frustration with the referees as his star player Draymond Green had been called for many technical fouls this NBA season. According to CSN Bay Area reports, Golden State committee was speaking directly to the NBA about how is that technical fouls were called so much against Green, who already has two in this year season.

Every NBA fan already know this by now that even though you can see the league's officials blinded to traveling and several other calls, complaining was never the best way to solve the conflicts. Especially when you're an NBA player or a coach, complaining might lead you to your locker room or hurt your wallet in the end.
