'Super Size Me' Latest Update: Morgan Spurlock Opens Fast Food; Another Documentary, Perhaps?

"Super Size Me" documentarist Morgan Spurlock has got the whole world realizing the good and the bad about eating at McDonald's. However, instead of pursuing his supposed exposure about fast foods, he opens up a restaurant that shouts fat and calories.

Morgan Spurlock became famous for his "Super Size Me" documentary, where he was seen eating nothing but McDonald's food for 30 days. After this, people realized the many awful consequences of fast food in general, but Spurlock may have wasted his effort when he opened a restaurant called Holy Chicken.

The "Super Size Me" icon, however, said that his fast food is the healthier alternative. He even said that Holy Chicken is a "fast-food made with integrity" since the chickens are "100 percent natural free range chickens." Morgan Spurlock also announced that his store initially opens for only four days so as to get comments from the customers.

When the time came that Holy Chicken opened its doors at Schrock Road, Westerville, it was filled with customers and personalities from the local offices. Representatives from Connects Columbus, Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Experience Columbus and Mayor Andrew J. Ginther's office attended. Isn't this grander than what Morgan Spurlock made for "Super Size Me"?

To top it off, the state House of Representatives even made an official proclamation. Ginther spokeswoman Robin Davis said to Morgan Spurlock, "We want people to be able to eat food that's good for them and healthy, so we're very excited about the energy you're bringing to our city." Contrary to the "Super Size Me" effect, the store was flocked by consumers ready to gobble chickens of Holy Chicken.

"Every year these chains continue to sell us the same tired food that they always have, but now with improved marketing and spin," Morgan Spurlock said. However, he still gave a "Super Size Me" advice when he reiterated that when a restaurant makes use of certain signs, words and colors, customers would usually feel that they are not eating healthier, when possibly they may be.

Morgan Spurlock did not mention if his move is another documentary that is patterned after "Super Size Me," but he did made a lot of people lining up at his restaurant. After customers ordered their food, he stated that the people bought the "marketing spin."

What do you think is the reason behind Morgan Spurlock's Holy Chicken marketing move? Do you think it is another "Super Size Me" documentary? Tell us!
