Viewers of "This Is Us" are in for a ride in the next few weeks on "This Is Us." Mandy Moore warns fans that the upcoming stories are going to be "heavy." It starts with the Thanksgiving episode, which airs on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 9:00 p.m. on NBC. The cast dishes on what viewers can expect, aside from the crying.
On Instagram, Mandy Moore posted a photo from the Thanksgiving episode on "This Is Us." It has her and TV husband Milo Ventimiglia (Jack) along with their three children, Kevin, Kate & Randall, in a scene from the 80s.
"We're attempting a little holiday road trip with the family," Mandy Moore writes in the caption on her Instagram. "Get ready -- the next batch of episodes are heavy," she tells the fans.
Meanwhile, Thanksgiving during the present day on "This Is Us" will take place at Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) as per usual. Apparently, Randall loves this holiday the most.
"It's because of something in their past as a family that made Thanksgiving this incredibly special moment," Sterling K. Brown said, according to Entertainment Tonight. He hints that the Thanksgiving from the 80s, with their younger characters, is going to tie with the present Thanksgiving on "This Is Us."
However, this year's Thanksgiving at Randall's will also be different because of a brewing tension in the Pearson family on "This Is Us." Sterling K. Brown told Access Hollywood that the episode will be "pretty explosive."
Viewers will recall that in the last episode of "This Is Us," Randall's wife found out that his mom, Rebecca (Mandy Moore), has kept a huge secret from him. Based on the teaser and the episode synopsis, this secret will finally unravel in a big way.
Milo Ventimiglia echoed what his "This Is Us" wife said about the upcoming heavy episodes. He tells Entertainment Tonight that the Thanksgiving is only a prelude to "a bigger thing called Christmas."
