Justin Guarini is feeling over the moon! The 2001 "American Idol" finalist and wife Reina Capodici became parents for the second time Monday Feb. 25. The baby boy, named Asher, weighed 7 pounds and 8 ounces at birth.
The proud father took to Twitter to break the news: "The whole hospital just found out Asher was born," he wrote, while sharing his happiness with his 13,800 followers on the social networking site. Later, he introduced his new addition to the world by sharing a mug shot of the newborn: "Asher, 7lbs8oz of bliss," he posted, after unveiling his son's first photo.
Fans and followers of the singer couldn't stop commenting on the adorable photo of baby Asher.
"Congratulations.... Sending love to the whole fam! Asher is perfect! Xo," one of the comments read, while another one adding, "So handsome! Congrats! Best of wishes to your family."
The 34-year-old American Idol runner-up married Capodici in 2009. They have a 22-month-old son William Neko. Apart from William, Capodici is also stepdad to 8-year-old daughter Lola from his wife's first marriage.
The new dad shared his happiness with People magazine: "He's the sweetest little boy you could ever ever ever ask for," he told the magazine. "He is a ravenous eater! He would probably spend 24 hours latched to his mom if he could."
The singer also explained how his little boy William was thrilled to become a big brother.
"He came to see Asher when he was a day old and all he wanted to do was lean over and kiss him," Guarini told People.
