"American Horror Story: Roanoke " ended with a divided opinion from the viewers. Some were highly pleased with the way "American Horror Story" ended its 6th season, but there are those who were not quite pleased as AHS didn't end the way they expected it to end.
As for the 7th season of "American Horror Story," however, Ryan Murphy mentioned that it would be something unexpected. The series creator also hinted that he will be merging the storyline from the first and the third season. During one of his interviews, the "American Horror Story" creator, Ryan Murphy mentioned that the 7th season of "American Horror Story."
Ryan Murphy then added that the showrunners will be taking a deeper look at the Freak Show characters from "American Horror Story" season 4, which means that they would possibly introduce former characters, including Lady Gaga. Ryan Murphy then added that the mythology of some of the characters from season 4 will eventually evolve in the succeeding seasons which means that "American Horror Story" fans would need to watch out for according to Entertainment Weekly.
"Next year, we will be going back to some Freak Show characters, deeper histories and mythologies. So we're sort of still exploring season 4 in season 7." Ryan Murphy then added, "The finale is the wrap-up to Roanoke but the mythology and some of the characters will continue in subsequent seasons. So it's the ending but not the ending."
Lady Gaga's return is yet to be confirmed, as they were only hints and fan speculations. Though it remains unclear as to who would be coming back and what the storyline would be, the latest announcements coming from Ryan Murphy himself debunked cancellation rumors that's been spreading online.
In regards to Lady Gaga's comeback, however, Vanity Fair explained that he was last introduced as the Scáthach where her character might fit in the "American Horror Story" season 7 storyline. It was hinted that she might have traveled by boat, which landed her on the 7th season of AHS.
"This season, we met Scáthach-played by Lady Gaga in the re-enactment," Vanity Fair mentioned. "My Roanoke Nightmare-an Englishwoman of Druid descent who came to America and briefly got tangled up in a witch hunt."
