Capcom's "Monster Hunter" is set to become a video game movie adaptation, as the movie producers Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt. The two producers are the same men who brought us the Resident Evil movie series and the Mortal Kombat movie adaptation.
Paul W.S. Anderson mentioned in an interview with the Deadline that he sets his sight on the "Monster Hunter" as it gives him an appeal to make a movie adaptation of the game. He said during the interview that he was in love with the beauty and immersive world of the "Monster Hunter" game.
Anderson even cited that the "Monster Hunter" fictional world has the same level of the Star Wars. The game also has a similarity with the Resident Evil, both of them don't have a main character to follow with at first.
Paul W.S. Anderson also revealed that the "Monster Hunter" is currently planned to have 2 movie film, but no release date has been mentioned. They will be using a budget same as the Resident Evil 1 and 2.
As per the Cinema Blend, the "Monster Hunter" might not be on the mainstream list of games, but it gains a massive success over the past years. The game was developed by Capcom in Japan and the game was very popular in China and in Japan since it was released.
The "Monster Hunter" game doesn't have a deep storyline that we may even say that the "Monster Hunter" is as bad as a game without a story at all. All we know so far that a man needs to defend his village from danger and from several ferocious creatures lurking outside the village.
Having said that it has no specific character with an awful storyline, the game remains one of the best RPG game on the market. With its rich and unique gameplay, huge character customization and a terrific multiplayer game, the "Monster Hunter" is one of the most beloved game around the world.
