"Conan Exiles," an upcoming game from Funcom recently launched a new trailer announcing the early access for Xbox One in spring 2017 and PC on Jan. 31, 2017. PlayStation was not included since the company does not allow early access titles.
"Conan Exiles" is an open world, strategy, and survival game set in the brutal lands of Conan the Barbarian. This is not the first time Funcom has developed a game based on Conan the Barbarian's exploits. An MMORPG called "Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures" was Funcom's first game in relation to Conan.
The game is set during the Hyborian age, a pseudo-historical ancient age created by Robert E. Howard. The Hyborian Age is described as "a dark, decadent, twisted and corrupt version of Euro-Asian history. Mix a bit of the Roman Empire, Mongolian culture and Babylonian mysticism with '30s-era myths of undiscovered Africa," according to OGaming.
"Conan Exiles" is developed from three gameplay principles, survive, build, and dominate. "Conan Exiles" is about an exile (player's character) who's banished into the barbaric wasteland. The player will start from scratch and will be given the ability to forge his own tools. The player can either play alone or create a pact with other players and form an alliance.
The wasteland is filled vengeful gods, cannibals, vicious monsters, and an unpredictable weather system. The player will also have the ability to perform sacrifices to certain gods and can summon them for his advantage. The gameplay of "Conan Exiles" can also be considered as the command and conquer type since the player and his allies can build fortresses and entire cities as the game progresses. The new gameplay trailer presented looks amazing. The mythical creatures and gods are well crafted and the abilities of the exiles seem limitless. "Conan Exiles" from the looks of it is going to be another hit from Funcom.
