Blizzard Entertainment, the development team who designed and developed the epic role-playing video game "Diablo" series is seeking for a new member of the team for their next but unannounced project. However, the qualifications are not something just any ambitious developers could meet, in a job post on their website, they wrote that they are, "seeking an exceptionally skilled and passionate art director."
Anyone who is willing to take the challenge would have the opportunity to work alongside a team of the best artists, engineers and designers.
"The ideal candidate possesses inspiring artistic vision, outstanding communications skills, strong leadership experience, and a proven track record of shipping AAA products in an art director role," Blizzard Careers revealed. "Experience modeling and texturing assets for a diverse visual range of environments and a solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets are also essential.
Blizzard Entertainment requires an individual experienced with mentoring teams and has the capacity to work well in an environment of artists who build their passion in creating great games and have the skills in art creation. They also stressed that it is a plus for the candidate if he has a passion for games and has deep understanding of their "Diablo" franchise.
This announcement has ignited the rumors that Blizzard could be working for the new installment of the dark fantasy and horror-themed action role-playing game, "Diablo 4." However, the idea could be unlikely since the previous Diablo game is barely three years old. Thus, it could be a "Diablo 3" expansion instead, according to Ubergizmo.
The report suggests that the latter is more reasonable since there have been rumors about an upcoming downloadable expansion for the said game. Earlier this year, someone who claims to be an intern from Blizzard's Diablo 3 team disclosed that Blizzard will unveil it at BlizzCon 2015, according to MMOsite.
The latest expansion of "Diablo 3" titled "Reaper of Souls" was released in March 2014. Following its launching, the lead producer, Alex Mayberry, told VideoGamer.com that Blizzard is still evaluating if they will develop additional expansions after it.
"Every time you finish a game there are things that you didn't get in that you wanted to get it, so there are a handful of things that we're still looking for post-launch updates that we definitely want to make sure go in. Other than those things we want to see the community reaction, we want feedback," Mayberry said.
According to IGN, BlizzCon will be on November 6 and 7. So if a new expansion or a new franchise is on the way, we will find out soon.
