Poppy Montgomery is pregnant with a baby girl.
The "Unforgettable" star, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Shawn Sanford, confirmed the news and revealed her happiness to People magazine.
"Shawn and I are beyond thrilled," the actress told People magazine. "We can't wait to meet our sweet little angel."
Montgomery has a 5-year-old son Jackson from her previous relationship with actor Adam Kaufman, who she first met during the filming of the movie "Between". After splitting with Kaufman in 2011, Montgomery started dating Microsoft executive Sanford. The couple confirmed expecting their first child in January 2013.
During the chat with People magazine, the expecting mom also talked about naming her daughter.
"Everyone keeps asking me if I'm going name her after a flower and carry on the tradition," the proud mom-to-be told the magazine. "But if Jackson has his way, she'll be named Catwoman and be the perfect partner to his Batman!"
On a blog written for People magazine in January 2013, the actress explained how she's been craving the foods that a pregnant woman is not supposed to eat, including tuna, caffeine, sushi, margaritas and shellfish.
"I am fully committed to doing things 'right' - I exercise with as much dignity as my newly-acquired shape will allow, I chew through countless plates of raw vegetables and trail mix, I don't stay out late and I have, of course, given up my beloved margaritas (no matter how often they sing to me)," she wrote, while explaining her struggle to avoid the food items which she loved.
Taking care of two children is definitely going to be a big challenge for Montgomery, as she had earlier revealed that motherhood was more challenging than acting.
"[Taking care of Jackson was] more challenging than anything I've ever done at work," People magazine quoted the actress admitting to USA Today in 2011. "I can do a 20-hour day on set easier than I can do a full mommy day without a break; at work it's your thing, and when you're with your kids it's all about them. But I loved it."
The Australian actress, who dropped out of the school to concentrate on her acting career, is widely known for her role in the series "Without a Trace".
