Aretha Franklin delivered an emotional and longer version of the National Anthem at the Lions-Vikings Game on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24. Franklin's rendition of the National Anthem was the only thing more dramatic than the Lions' 4th quarter win over the Vikings.

On a day where the el Clasico matchup of the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings should have been highlighted, Aretha Franklin stole the moment even before the game started. The Grammy Award-winning singer has done a very good job in silencing the crowd at the Ford Field, as noted by CBS Sports.

With a very surprising rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner," Aretha Franklin made so much noise in the whole world. Of course, the Internet went crazy after the five-minute version of the National Anthem at the Lions-Vikings game.

Fans all over the world reacted positively to Franklin's performance of the National Anthem. Although there were some who were not moved by her performance before the Thanksgiving Day classic of the Lions-Vikings rivalry game, most of them were so thrilled that social media sites erupted right after.

Aretha Franklin site described Franklin's acceptance of the chance to sing the National Anthem at Detroit as a nod to its great music legacy. Growing up in Detroit, where her father was a Reverend at the New Bethel Baptist Church, it should be a special moment for Aretha Franklin to have performed again in the place where it all started for her.

Spending more than six decades in her career, Franklin may have just delivered the best version of the National Anthem yet. After 18 Grammy Awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Kennedy Center Honor and even the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Queen of Soul proves to still be the real Queen.
