Hello Games recently announced that an update for "No Man's Sky" will be released soon. According to its website, 'The Foundation Update' forms the base for other releases to come. However, the developer says it is not its biggest update.
The action-adventure video game "No Man's Sky," which was launched last June 2016, will be rolling out an update this week. According to its press release, it will be called 'The Foundation Update' as it "added the foundation of base building". The developer also added that this update "is a foundation for things to come".
Fans can also expect some detailed patch notes to follow soon. This is in addition to the September release of 7 patches that fixed critical and common bugs and issues after the game was released. Hello Games is also hoping that this update will bring back its fans who had been disappointed when "No Man's Sky" first launched.
Since its release, there had been some issues and questions surrounding "No Man's Sky." Some controversy's after its launch included false advertising over missing features of the game, Twitter and email hacks, and player outrage with its content.
In its recent press release, Hello Games addressed these issues saying "The discussion around No Man's Sky since its release has been intense and dramatic. We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game". It also added that it has been taking note of its fans' comments, both negative and positive, and that they are continuously working on making the game better.
Hello Games described that 'The Foundation Update' won't be its biggest update yet and that it is only the beginning. The developer also added that "This update will the first small step in a longer journey". So perhaps fans can expect bigger updates and patches in the coming months for "No Man's Sky."
