Alec Baldwin is thinking pink again. The 54-year-old actor, who is playing the role of Jack Donaghy on NBC's "30 Rock", and wife Hilaria Thomas, confirmed expecting a baby girl to "Extra."
"Alec and I are overjoyed that we are going to be welcoming a little girl into our lives," Thomas told "Extra". Adding a little bit of humor to the conversation, the mom-to-be, who works as Extra's lifestyle correspondent, said Baldwin is at higher chances of being outnumbered in the house, with their two female dogs and two daughters. The baby is due in summer.
Baldwin, who won the 2013 SAG Award for Best Actor for his role in "30 Rock", started dating yoga instructor Thomas in 2011 and tied the knot in June 2012. The couple announced the pregnancy mid-February 2013. Apart from the new addition, Baldwin has a 17-year-old daughter named Ireland, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
While appearing on the "Rachael Ray" show in March 2013, Thomas revealed she was hunting for an appropriate name for their unborn child. During the show, Thomas said she was considering the name Massimo, if she is going to have a baby boy.
"[Alec] had the idea for Massimo the other day. It's a lovely name, I just don't know," Thomas told People magazine. "That's a very big name for a very little baby."
As the couple is going to have a daughter, they will be definitely trying for a second child, hopefully a boy, so that they can complete their family.
"I want to have at least one of each, so whatever this is going to be, I want to have the next one [be the opposite sex]," said Thomas, revealing her wish to "Extra".
