Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs: Actor Ready For Babies? Admits Seeing Himself as a Father

Robert Pattinson has indeed moved on from his days as a "Twilight" teen heartthrob. With his new film, "Life," set to be released later in the year, the 29-year-old actor didn't shy away from admitting that he's ready to become a father.

In an interview with German magazine, Jolie, the actor said that he sees himself as a dad. "Definitely, although I still don't know when," Pattison told the glossy, as translated by Thinking of Rob, a fansite dedicated to the actor.

Robert also talked about the kind of child he expects to have in the future, "Sure I will have a child who is totally cool and confident. He or she will probably look at me every day and think, 'Why is this guy such a funny, quirky oddball?'"

The subject was broached because Robert is playing a father in his new film. "I was so attracted by the role in 'LIFE.' At my age, you do not get so many chances to play a father - and certainly not one who leaves his family in the lurch," the actor further explained.

In "Life," Pattinson plays Dennis Stock, a photographer assigned to follow an up and coming actor, James Dean (played by Dane DeHaan), per Life, the movie's fansite.

Meanwhile, his fiancée, FKA Twigs (Tahliah Debrett Barnett in real life), also talked about motherhood in a previous interview with The Sunday Times. "I honestly didn't give a s--- about any of this stuff until about two years ago. I don't know whether it's my age — I'm going to be 28 in January — but all of a sudden I started thinking that if I had a daughter, it is gonna be terrifying," the performer said, according to Pop Sugar.

Back in April, People Magazine reported that Robert was engaged to Twigs after dating each other for six months. But then, a source recently came out, saying that the wedding may be pushed back to, at the earliest, autumn, as the bride can't still decide what type of wedding she'd like.

"She talks about it keeping as real and low-key and then wants an elaborate glamorous Baroque affair," the source told People Magazine. "She was even talking at one stage about having a masked ball."

"It will now be bigger but how big, nobody's quite sure at this moment in time," the source added. "There's no fixed [wedding] date but will probably be late in the year."
