Hollywood Reporter stated that since the first sequel became a blockbuster and reach $75 million, Rowling is now in the move writing the script and will soon hit the theater on 2018. According to Director David Yates, the second movie will be far way different to the first one, the adventure will continue but this time the setting will be in Paris and Watford England.

Since the first movie became successful just like what happened to "Harry Potter", it's not just the second sequel Rowling is working on but she's in the move to write the other three sequels for she decided to make a five sequel movie of "Fantastic Beast and where to find them".

According to Movie Fone, the second sequel of the movie will not focus only to Newt but also to other main characters like Tina, Queenie and Jacob. The time setting will span two decades and will happen during the World War II that is why it is difficult to focus on Newt alone for they will struggle in making him young. Young Dumbledore will also be part of the main character and during that time, Albus was just a troubled kid and his encounter with infamous Grindelwald will be shown in the second sequel.
