‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Release Date, News: Sean Gunn Dishes Details Of Opening Moments, Sequel Timeline, & Rocket Raccoon’s Doubts

Since "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" trailer came out, fans have been wondering where the sequel will pick up. The brother of the film's director, Sean Gunn, dished out details regarding the opening moments of the film including the timeline. As an added bonus, he teased a few details regarding Rocket Raccoon's doubts about his place in the team.

According to MovieWeb, Sean Gunn, the brother of director James Gunn and the actor who portrays the Ravager Kraglin, spilled some intriguing insights on how the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will open. In the interview with ComicBook at the Heroes and Villains convention in Atlanta, Sean Gunn explained the opening moments of the film.

"When the movie starts, it's only a couple of months after the first movie," said Sean Gunn. Well, that certainly answers where "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" picks up. Now, regarding Rocket Raccoon's doubts on his part on the team, Sean Gunn also teased a few details.

Turns out, Sean Gunn not only plays the Ravager Kraglin on "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," he also serves as the motion-capture reference for Rocket Raccoon, while Bradley Cooper is back as Rocket's voice actor.

"There are a few relationships that are central to the theme of the movie and that really go towards keeping a family... and Rocket has the same sort of crisis of faith about whether or not he belongs in this family or not," says Sean Gunn regarding the fate of Rocket Raccoon.

NME also noted that Yondu's allegiance will be questioned by the Ravagers and that Kraglin will have a major role to play in their decision. Going back in "Guardians of the Galaxy," Peter Quill (played by Chriss Pratt) double-crossed the Ravagers by taking the Infinity Stone and replacing it with a troll doll towards the end of the film.

Since little is still known as regards the major plot for the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," except for Kurt Russell playing as Ego the Living Planet, father of Star-Lord Peter Quill, how things will turn out will have to be put on hold until "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" opens in cinemas May 5 2017.
