Disney has just confirmed that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will include a new character and it's got the game world very excited. During the D23 2015 an onstage announcement was made sharing that Baymax and his crew would be entering the highly-anticipated gameworld.
Gamezone reports that the film's director Ray Conli said: "Big Hero 6 is such a special film for me and we always made sure that each action sequence had a very special meaning. The themes in Kingdom Hearts and Big Hero 6 match very well. For instance there's friendship, really important to both stories, and then of course light over darkness."
"Big Hero 6" was a 2014 animated superhero flick set in San Fransokyo which features a 14-year-old tech genius who bands together with others just like him to create a superhero team that battled a mysterious masked villain.
Aside from "Big Hero 6," Disney has already confirmed earlier that characters from "Tangled" will also be featured in the upcoming title.
"We're very excited, it's been in development for more than two years and looks beautiful," quoted ComicBook of Shinji Hashimoto. He also added that there are much more surprises in store for fans when it comes to "Kingdom Hearts 3."
"Kingdom Hearts 3"
Per a report by Gamespot, "the antagonist in Kingdom Hearts III uses the powers of darkness to manipulate the Baymax body that was left behind in the portal. As such, the old Baymax body left behind becomes a dark, heartless Baymax."
To date, there has been no work on the specific release date for "Kingdom Hearts 3" but it's widely speculated it'll hit the shelves sometime in 2016. The game will be available in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
However, the last "Kingdom Hearts" title was released about 10 years ago and since then, Nerdist notes that Disney has acquired other prominent companies that include Marvel, Pixar and LucasFilm. This is definitely something to get excited about because the range of characters has become so wide.
Earlier this year, Mashable compiled a list of different worlds most-anticipated to be featured in the video game. The publication reports that the list was based on fan opinion. Aside from San Fransokyo, other locations include The Big Apple - Manhattan, New York. This is where many of the Avengers plot took place as well as other heroes like Spider-Man and the X-Men. Highlands, Scotland was another from Pixar's "Brave" and Game Central Station, Litwak's Arcade. The last two include Arendelle, Norway from "Frozen" and DS-1, Despayre from "Star Wars."
It's rumored that with the success of "Big Hero 6," a sequel to the fast-paced action cartoon is in the works.
