Derek Hough will not be dancing but judging. He is finally leaving "Dancing with the Stars," because he gets an offer from Jennifer Lopez that he can't refuse. The professional dancing instructor joins J.Lo's NBC dance competition series that is about to hit the small screens soon. He will be gracing "World of Dance" as a judge, like Ne-Yo, R&B singer and dancer.
Hough already hinted earlier that he might not be back for the "Dancing with the Star" Season 24. Derek Hough, however, has to enjoy having some lazy feet for a change, says the Entertainment portal.
The versatile Lopez, dashing Hough, and the distinctive Ne-Yo are three of the notable dancers in their time. They will surely be inspiring and helping dance tough competitors to reach for the reality of career goals. The show is expected to host a world-class level of competing dancers from all over the world.
The President of Television Alternative Studio, Meredith Ahr is grateful to the trio for imparting their talents and successes to the aspirants and to the general public through the show. It is the station's honor to house this kind of initiative that can mold future dancing stars. Hough appears on the musical "Hairspray Live", Dec. 7 in NBC to further talk about his new venture.
Ne-Yo's songs are always a hit for more than ten years now but he is also a dancing icon as the Tin Man during The Wiz Live! last year. The competition format of "World of Dance" follows three age divisions of dancers fighting until a single, solo or group, remain in each division.
The three surviving competitors from these divisions will then vie for the million-dollar reward as the "Best In the World." Lopez's humble beginning as a backup dancer In "Living Color" got her noticed for more spectacular opportunities in Hollywood. She has been a judge also on "American Idol", according to TV Guide.
