The Golden State Warriors still impresses the NBA world with the win against the Atlanta Hawks last Wednesday 105-100. It was a sloppy game for the Warriors but they still managed to be on top with a fourth quarter performance of 25-19. It was the twelfth straight victory for the Warriors.
According to CBS Sports, it was expected for the Atlanta Hawks to lose this game, especially playing in the home crowd of Warriors at the Oracle Arena, also playing back-to-back in their fifth game in seven nights at the West Coast Trip. Though it may be expected it was still a tough loss for the Atlanta.
They have lead in the third quarter but could not handle it till the end of the game. They have a lot of open looks but keep missing. They are 1 for 7 in the 3-point territory in the fourth quarter. It came after a player-only meeting last Saturday and was followed last Sunday with a loss to the shorthanded Lakers without Julius Randle and D'Angelo Russell on Sunday.
One player that secured the win for Golden State Warriors was their newly acquired superstar, Kevin Durant. He scored 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting together with his huge 14 rebounds. Durant's special ability to do things aside from his huge scoring is what brings him the great addition to the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors didn't just add a pure scorer; they also added a great rebounder, excellent passer in Durant.
Another guy that helps the Warriors a lot was Draymond Green. He is currently making his name on the Defensive Player of the Year. With the great defensive sequence, he provided on late fourth quarter, he helped secure the Warriors' win over the Hawks. The four blocks he made did the trick. With all the great additions to the Warriors squad, could they really get the Championship ring this season? Share your thoughts on the comment section.
