It's true that being pregnant is a miracle but neglecting your body while you're at it is a no-no. There are many ways to stay fit while having a healthy pregnancy.
In an article published by US Weekly, Jillian Michaels, a fitness expert, shares how women can have healthy pregnancies and unnecessary things they need to avoid during pregnancy. She shares ways to the future moms and new moms on how to have a healthy body and how to get back in the way of wearing clothes like pants after giving birth.
The 42-year old Michaels provided tips, workouts and meal plans for future moms in her new book, Yeah Baby! Modern Mama's Guide to Mastering Pregnancy, Having a Healthy Baby, and Bouncing Back Better Than Ever.
"When my husband Heidi (Rhoades) became pregnant with our son who is four years old now, I started to have an interest in aspiring into this world," Michaels said in an interview with Us Weekly. She also added that she could identify all the crap in the health and wellness since she does what she wants to do according to Healthline.
Michaels, who as a former Biggest Loser trainer, and a mom to her 5-year old daughter too with her fiancee, Lukensia, also shared workouts in her book for those women who are trying to become pregnant and advised: "Acquire a healthy body weight and reduce your exercise intensity."
She also encourages pregnant women who are seeking to work out but already in the second trimester to avoid intense exercises like ballistic, plyometric, Olympic lifts. Crunching and rotating exercises are also not good because it is not the time during in this stage of pregnancy.
Nonetheless, six months after giving birth is the period where you should manifest. "You should return to the fitness level before your pregnancy and be ready to roll up," the former NBC star added.
