Theft In Paddington Hospital: Sick Children's Christmas Gifts Stolen?

Christmas is a special time for children. The anticipation, the surprise, and the joy are real for them. Sadly, some children miss out on the enjoyment that Christmas brings. These kids have such compromised health that they aren't able to invest any energy to celebrate Christmas whatsoever. They eagerly wait for gifts as Christmas approaches. Child organizations make sure that each child gets his share of happiness by sending them gifts.

According to BBC presents worth three thousand pounds, were stolen from St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. Stolen gifts were supposed to be distributed among gravely ill children. The thieves also took ornaments and Santa's suit. All the stuff was needed for a Christmas party to be held on December 11.

Lead play specialist St Mary's hospital, Tina Hilton was worried over the incident, stated that the news is hard to hospital staff and parents, as going to a party with a sick child is hardly possible. Santa's suit has been an entertainment accessory for years, and children loved it.

The Head of the fundraising association, Vicky Rees expressed that the gifts were selected according to children's personal necessities, that's why the presents can't be replaced.

Metropolitan police's Detective Sargent Tom Hirst was also surprised that what kind of a person steals sick children's gifts as their lives are already full of difficulties and the gifts could bring a little happiness to them. He also told that the police had asked people to contact in case they have any information regarding the incident.

Sky News reported that after the condemnable incident, a fundraising page has already raised 19,000 pounds to replace sick children's toys and people are still donating to the cause. A donor Roger Southgate shared his views on the incident by saying that though the stealing news was saddening the fundraiser's generosity was an incredible act and it made him emotional. He also wished the little children Merry Christmas.
