‘The View’ Hosts Feud: Joy Behar Threatens To Exit Show If Not Given Whoopi Goldberg’s Moderator Role?

Rumors have been rampant about an alleged feud between the hosts of ABC's long-running talk show "The View." The hosts have denied the speculations but the rumors don't seem like stopping anytime soon.

Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are the two "The View" hosts that are rumored to be currently locked in a feud. However, things between the women appeared to be going quite well when Behar was invited to Goldberg's birthday party in November, Page Six claimed.

Goldberg and Behar's alleged feud involved the latter setting her sights on the former's moderator role in the show Behar, 74, hinted that she would leave "The View" next season if Goldberg's moderator role isn't given to her.

Goldberg, 61, will exit "The View" next season, the show's 21st. Goldberg said last September during an appearance on "The Wendy Williams Show" that she's got to move on in order to "go and grow." She said that she will work on directing movies and writing books after her departure, Variety reported.

An insider claimed that working "under Whoopi's thumb for years" has "grated" on Behar. The latter believes that it's now "her time to shine." The insider added that this rumored feud between the women could "spell the end of the line" for the both of them because "The View" producers are planning to introduce new panelists.

It was in 2007 when Goldberg began co-hosting "The View." Behar, on the other hand, is the longest-running panelist in the show and was one of its original co-hosts. She left her post on "The View" in 2013 but came back two years later as a regular host.

Goldberg and Behar were already rumored to be feuding last year. Goldberg was allegedly pissed off over "The View" rehiring Behar as co-host.

This was dismissed by the women and even co-host Jedediah Bila chimed in, saying that the show's hosts respect each other and they are "faking nothing." Bila added that "The View" is "a safe place to grow and blossom, regardless of your opinions."

Goldberg recently received the Elizabeth Taylor Legacy Award, according to Variety. This week, Goldberg became emotional on "The View" when her co-hosts surprised her with a touching video documenting all of her work as an AIDS activist.

The clip showcased photos of Goldberg with Elizabeth Taylor and AIDS patients, Rare reported. There were also messages from Colin Farrell, Lionel Richie, and Elton John.
