MediaTek Latest News: Helio X23 & X27 Added to MediaTek Deca-Core SoC Processors

MediaTek has announced new Helio X23 and X27 mobile chips in their line of Deca-core SoC processors. These mobile chip processors yield better photography, display and reduced energy consumption of smartphones.

MediaTek Latest News: Helio X23 and X27 Added on Deca-core SoC Processors

According to Android Authority, MediaTek Helio X23 and X27 processors have a similar setup with two ARM Cortex-A72 cores and ARM Cortex-A53 cores. The two ARM Cortex-A72 cores are used for great workloads that require high performance. On the other hand, the two sets of ARM Cortex-A53 cores are used for light to medium workloads that require only low power.

According to AnandTech, MediaTek Helio X23 and X27 are manufactured on TSMC 20nm process similar to X20 and X25. The clock frequency of MediaTek Helio X23 is 2.3 GHz for A72 and 1.4 GHz to 1.85 GHz for A53. The Helio X27 has a clock speed of 2.6 GHz for A72 and 1.6 GHz to 2.0 GHz for A53. These yield a performance that is better than Helio X20 and Helio X25. Helio X20 has a clock speed of 2.1 GHz for A72 and 1.4 GHz to 1.85 GHz for A53. Meanwhile, Helio X25 has a clock speed of 2.5 GHz for A72 and 1.55 GHz to 2.0 GHz for A53.

MediaTek Update: Helio X23 and X27 Users Will Experience Better Photography

MediaTek Helio X23 and X27 mobile processors use Imagiq image-signal-processing solution, In-System Programming (ISP), integrated category 6 modem and MiraVisionEnerySmart Screen technology. Helio X23 and X27 support dual cameras in mobile phones. It will also produce single In-System Programming (ISP) from the integration of color and mono cameras and applications. This will allow users to experience a better photography and dual camera sensors with color+ monochrome configurations.

MediaTek Update: Smartphone Display Energy Consumption Reduced by 25%

The MiraVisionEnergySmart Screen technology of Helio X23 and X27 mobile processors allows saving energy on smartphone displays. MediaTek has added that it decreases display energy consumption by 25%. These mobile processors will be available on smartphones soon.
