The recent controversy due to the battery explosions led to the downfall of the awaited and highly anticipated Samsung Note 7. Despite all this, their galaxy series especially the Galaxy S7 were in all-time high in sales this year.
This apparent hard learned lesson for sure made tech giant Samsung think through a lot of things. Recent reports suggest that the South Korean company is now focusing on releasing their next generation of Galaxy phones by February of 2017.
The leaked news report that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature an interactive voice assistant and IRIS scanner. The Galaxy S8 will be the successor of the company's flagship device.
Other reports also add that the S8 will have a new design alongside two variants with one that is more expensive with the curved edge display plus more excellent features. It is said that eigth edition will produce the biggest display with 6+ inch screen. With this, it will no longer be identified as a tablet but a "Phablet."
Aside from that, the next device will also have an upgraded processor equipped with Snapdragon 835. A smart voice assistant, Viv will also be the competition of Google and Apple's voice assistants.
Samsung may also take away the 3.5 mm audio jack, the same risk that Apple did with their iPhone 7. All these features will go through a mandatory rigorous testing before it will be released in stores available for the public to purchase. Doing this, the company is a favor for the buyers as they are avoiding the mistake they've made with the Note 7.
