'The Bachelor' Couple Jason and Molly Mesnick Welcome Baby Girl Riley Anne

Jason and Molly Mesnick are new, proud parents of a little girl.

The 36-year old, who became bachelor of the 13th season of the reality dating show "The Bachelor" and wife welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Thursday. The couple has named their daughter Riley Anne Mesnick.

The little girl weighed 6 pounds and 8 ounces at birth. The proud father announced the news on Twitter.

"We welcomed the most beautiful healthy baby girl to our family today Riley Anne Mesnick. Thank you all for your well wishes!" he wrote. Apart from the new addition, Jason has an eight-year-old son, Tyler, from a previous marriage.

Fans and followers of the reality star celebrated the happy announcement, by sharing the news with each other and congratulating the couple over their latest status as new parents.

"I'm beyond happiness for the 2 of you!!! Congratulations, cannot wait to see her beautiful face! Lots of love!" one of the comments read, while another one added, "Congratulations! So happy for you & Ty. Love the name! Adorable!"

Jason, who met Molly at "The Bachelor", strengthened their relationship by breaking up with bachelor fiancée Melissa Rycroft and tying the knot with Molly in 2010 in California.

According to reports, Molly is already overwhelmed with her new status as a mother.

"What's amazing to me is when Molly is holding Riley, her eyes do not come off her," Jason told People magazine. "I'm already seeing how much Molly loves the baby."

However, at the same time, the new father is trying to find out the answer to a question that has confused him - whether massaging the area between the ankle and Achilles' heel of a pregnant woman's foot really helps in inducing labor.

"I did it last night for about three minutes and Molly woke me up at about three this morning, after she'd been up for about an hour and a half, so maybe it does work?" Jason added to People.

Tyler is quite happy with his new position as a big brother.

"Ty has been asking for a sibling for so long," Jason told the magazine. "He was here earlier holding her and kissing her and it was really, really cute. We're so happy."
