Are There Looming Dangers In Paleo Diet?

Paleo diet is one of the most used wellness diet trend as of this date. Known as the "caveman diet," helps the individual get the nutrition their body needs to stay lean and strong. It may be an all-natural method in terms of dieting, but health care experts warn of the looming dangers that may come with the health complications.

Walden Eating Disorders website pointed out the looming dangers that can possibly take place if the paleo diet is not done properly. It was mentioned that it can actually do more harm than good.

Though it was not highlighted that all dieters may be affected, it did, however, highlight that possible deficiencies such as the restriction of dairy products, carbohydrates and high levels of fat intake. These may seem imbalanced, which make it important for the individual who will partake of the paleo diet to make ample amount of research or get the advice of a professional dietitian.

Food restrictions can lead to various health problems, such as vitamin D and calcium deficiencies which are highly needed for the bone. Paleo diet also involves eating high amounts of red meat and fats, which means that the individual should take ample of time in researching as to which fats are good fats and which ones are bad for the health.

A research on Paleo diet shook the internet and the dietitians as it highlighted the health risks involved. Experts that were part of the study mentioned that paleo diet can potentially lead to rapid weight gain and can place the individual at risk of diabetes.

The study may have been backed by research in regards to Paleo diet, however, several loopholes were pointed out which gathered countless backlashes from the dieters. One of the factors being pointed out was the type mice that they used for the studies, which was published in Nature.

All diet and health care regime can potentially do more harm than good if not administered properly, making it important to fully understand the diet before trying it out.
