Ohio State University Campus Attack: False Stories Spreading In The University Campus?

Universities are big but when a negative incident occur, everyone gets the news instantly. Reporters reach out to students and ask them what they saw, where they were and what were they doing. Some students are also getting excited to be included in the news coverage.

Columbus Dispatch shares the story by the side of Bill Bush, the publication's reporter. He describes the scene at Ohio State University where a man was firing with a rifle and mysterious backpacks scattered on the grounds. The fire alarm was pulled by someone and people were exiting. There was also a car crash in the compound of the building.

Everyone told Bush they knew what was going on but said they haven't seen anything. Policemen were approaching the scene from West 19th avenue and College Road North to a parking garage east of St. John Arena. There were two loaded SWAT Cars and police gunmen gathered around the campus. Two men were arrested near the garage during the Ohio State University attack, according to a woman who worked there.

Later, the real story about the Ohio State University attack was told by people who were present at the car crash scene at that time. They told that a man in a small car drove into a crowd of people who were gathered outside after hearing a fire alarm for gas leakage. The man came out of the car with a knife in his hand but was killed by the police who responded to the alarm.

Some students told that they lost their phones while trying to help others. The police shots were misunderstood by people as an attack. Students were scared after hearing the shots fired.

Meanwhile, the university's The Lantern was also all vigilant during the Ohio State University attack. They were all there and as soon as they started getting SMS about the incident, they tried to reach the campus.
